Gary does not do his Video’s; he outsources them to another party, a company called Moments to Remember. This company is holding all of the work Gary has outsourced to them because Gary has not paid them the money for the work done. I say SHAME on both of these companies.
My wife and I paid in full for our wedding video and now we may never see it. Gary also puts in the contract that if he is unable to complete the work, he is only responsible to return the money paid. This means all memories are lost and it is almost like you decided you actually never wanted a wedding video or wedding photos when you actually contracted with one.
Gary may have called me back 5 times in over two years. He sends me response emails promising the video will be ready for me at a certain time and than just ignores that deadline. Gary runs a terrible business he is 100% unreliable, and if you use him for your wedding you risk not getting the product you paid for.
If you know Gary personally and you really want to use him, I suggest either bringing a lawyer to sign the contract or making sure you are entitled to a lot more than reimbursement of the money paid if he can not complete the work.
For the pain and suffering he has caused my family, I would hope readers of this blog with empathize and not use him for any event.

ReplyDeleteGary Leli is totally unreliable. My children have two separate unpaid judgments against him. He has not delivered their wedding albums and has not returned their money. His home is in his wife's name. You will not successfully recover any money on your judgment.
ReplyDeleteIf you hire him, make sure to hold back a significant sum to insure delivery of your albums. (at least 50%).
gjs2, what do you suggest the people who have been screwed by Gary Leli do? How can we get people to stop using his service?

ReplyDeleteFor anyone who happens to read this blog, be aware that Gary Leli went to LIWeddings.com, and apparently attempted to sue them if they didn't take down the negative posts that were written about him. Sounds like liweddings.com runs a bit of a biased operation. Be aware, if your researching Gary Leli on that site and all you see is the positive experiences. Gary's experiences stealing from his customers and not providing them with the work that he contracted to do is documented in news stories on News12 in Long Island and on CBS channel 2 in New York. The CBS story will be aired on 1/9 at 11pm.
ReplyDeleteI agree with everything that has been said by the above poster. Gary has law suits going back to a wedding in Sept. of 2000 when he was doing business as Instant Replay Videography. The quality of his photos is poor. He does not set up any formal poses, uses poor lighting etc. He blames the client when the photos are poor. He will tell you that you had too many people in the shot or that it was getting dark. Please also do your research on the Better Business Bureau website. Anyone with more that 1 or 2 complaints I would stay away from.

ReplyDeleteso sad!! gary did our wedding pictures and i waited soooo long for our albums. he promised them on a certain date and then the date would come and go. i called and emailed him over and over and over again! finally i said i would take my complaints online and he said that made him nervous and i got the albums. but, i guess he is in so deep now that even that won't help!! how awful!!!! he should be ashamed!!! i hope everyone gets their albums, pics, videos etc. PEOPLE MUST NOT USE HIM!!!
